Meet our vanventurers

We are very happy to be joining the Jayco Newcastle Vanventurers and the Jayco Newcastle family!

We have both retired and currently live on the Central Coast.  With COVID restricting our international travel, we thought it was time to see more of our own country so decided to purchase a caravan from Jayco Newcastle which is due for delivery in mid-May.

Making our first trip in a caravan will be an adventure in itself.  Not having a caravan has not discouraged us from our travel.  During last year we visited and stayed at several New South Wales locations including Tuckers Rock (near Coffs Harbour), Arakoon (near South West Rocks), Coonabarabran, Lightning Ridge, Myall Lakes, Seal Rocks (staying at the Lighthouse), Green Cape (Near Eden and also staying at the Lighthouse). We also did a trip relocating a motorhome from Alice Springs to Brisbane and after a short stay at the Gold Coast relocating another motorhome from Brisbane to Sydney.  Basically, after New South Wales reopened we did a substantial trip every month.

We both enjoy bushwalking but also during our travels we keep an eye open for local ballroom dancing.  Our first intended trip, at the end of May and subject to receiving our van, is Rutherglen on the Victorian border where they are holding a ballroom dancing event. Tony is also a keen photographer so we endeavour to document our trip with beautiful photos.
